Many people can't imagine a world without chocolate.  Yet few people know that one of America's favorite treats is only possible because of the hard work of millions of cocoa farmers in West Africa. And even fewer people realize that most of these farmers and their families live in poverty without access to life's basics.

Our national recipe contest asks chocolate lovers to use their creativity to show that they are hungry to make the world sweeter for cocoa farmers in West Africa.  How? By supporting enterprising solutions to poverty such as Fair Trade and Divine!

Our panel of judges are looking for recipes with heaps of creativty, Divine appeal, and powerful statements about why contestants are hungry to change the world through Fair Trade.

The first prize winner will have the chance to travel to Washington, DC for an awards ceremony and media event at Rock Creek at Mazza Gallerie, stay at the beautiful Akwaaba Bed and Breakfast, receive a gift certificate for The Baker's Catalogue, and of course, win a huge basket of Divine Chocolate!
