Cecilia Appianim, a cocoa farmer, firefighter and national financial secretary of Kuapa Kokoo Farmers’ Cooperative in Ghana will gather with students of Smith College in Northampton to talk about the Fair Trade system, how it has benefited the cocoa farmers in Ghana, and how being owners of an international chocolate brand has improved the quality of farmers’ lives. Students will learn about their role in making trade fair. [This event is open to the public.]
