Divine Chocolate Introduces Four Delectable New Bars at Expo West
07 March 2011

Washington DC (February 23, 2011) Divine Chocolate, the first farmer-owned, Fair Trade chocolate brand, will unveil four new bars at Expo West in Anaheim, CA March 10-13. Visit the New Product Showcase, or Booth 2873 in Hall C to experience the company’s new dark and milk chocolate flavors. Divine chocolates are made with 100% Fair Trade cocoa beans grown by the Kuapa Kokoo farmers’ cooperative in Ghana, whose members own 45% of Divine Chocolate.
The new 3.5 oz Bars expand the diverse flavors of Divine’s current line, giving consumers of Fair Trade chocolate even more options.
• 85% Dark—great for both eating and for baking. Smooth and nicely balanced, with deep fruit flavor notes
• 70% Dark with Ginger and Orange—smooth dark chocolate bursting with pieces of zesty orange and spicy notes of ginger
• Orange Milk Chocolate—for those who love the subtle taste of natural orange blended exquisitely with creamy milk chocolate
• Coffee Milk Chocolate—two of the best tastes life has to offer in one bar
The farmers in Ghana who grow the beans used in Divine chocolate don’t just receive Fair Trade premiums; they own a substantial stake in the company. This translates to real social, political, and economic power in their communities.
“When we develop new flavors, we conduct extensive consumer taste tests with thousands of consumers. All four of these new bars have been enthusiastically received by passionate chocolate lovers all over the US,” said Mark Magers, CEO Divine Chocolate. “Our customers love our irresistible flavors even more so because they know that when they buy Divine Chocolate they have a direct impact on the everyday lives of cocoa farmers.”
